CEO Letter

Since our inception in 1946 on the South Side of Chicago, Methode Electronics has consistently innovated and evolved our business to stay on the cutting-edge of technology and meet societal needs. We have continued to maintain this edge, from our production of tube sockets in the 1940’s, to our work with printed circuits in the 1950’s, to our patented magnetoelastic sensors of today – we have evolved from a small shop in Illinois to a global business with more than 7,000 employees. As the world continues to evolve, so do our priorities. That is why we are committed to being a responsible steward to the environment, to our communities and to our employees.

Throughout the years, we have been dedicated to championing environmental and socially sustainable practices through initiatives such as utilizing reusable shipping containers, material recycling and reuse, and vertically integrated manufacturing to reduce logistics. We also offer a dedicated employee hotline and strive to employ best practices in governance and corporate oversight. Our policies, including our Code of Business Conduct, address crucial aspects of corporate responsibility including health and safety, environmental stewardship, business ethics and related management systems.

Further, we engage and empower our employees – through respect and dignity – to ensure our business operations are conducted ethically and in-line with market-leading best practices. Tied to this is our core belief that diversity and inclusion (D&I) is imperative to our business, enabling us to grow and empower our future workforce. We consistently strive to represent our global business presence in our workforce and to ensure that diverse voices are present within our leadership, as it is core to driving innovation and progress through a variety of perspectives.

As CEO, I am proud of our strong track record in generating a positive social impact as well as our critical belief in conducting our business with the highest level of ethics and integrity. To that end, we actively engage with our stakeholders and maintain an anti-discrimination policy, anti-corruption policy and company-wide political contributions policy. We are dedicated to providing a safe work environment for all our employees.

Finally, as we look to the future of the company, we are committed to continually utilizing the power of technology to create a better future for our society. We look forward to providing continual updates to our stakeholders regarding our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program to ensure improved transparency and reporting metrics with oversight from our Board of Directors. I am proud of the work we’ve done so far and firmly believe that Methode is ready to deliver on our commitment to be a responsible steward to the environment, to our communities and to our employees, in 2023 and beyond.

Sincerely,

Donald W. Duda
